Residential Repair Program

Southold Town has a Residential Repair Program for Seniors aged 60 and older. The labor is free, and the senior pays only for parts and materials used to complete the repair.

We offer this service to both homeowners and renters and there is no income requirement. We handle the type of jobs that don’t require a licensed craftsman. These include:

HRC - Residential Repairs

  • Caulking and weather stripping
  • Changing light bulbs and batteries in smoke detectors
  • Installing grab bars and safety rails
  • Patching concrete including steps
  • Repairing or replacing locks
  • Replacing faucet washers
  • Rewiring lamps or replacing light switches and plugs

Call and ask us, we’ll make every effort to assist. All seniors are also given the opportunity to make a voluntary and anonymous contribution which is used to expand this popular and important program. Contact our office at (631) 298-4460 for more information and to schedule an appointment today.
