Spring Leaf & Brush Cleanup Program


To assist residents with their spring yard waste cleanup, the normal tip fees for brush disposal at the Cutchogue Compost Facility will be waived for residential vehicles for the period April 1, 2019 through April 30, 2019.  In addition, the tip fees for will be reduced for commercial vehicles to $30/ton for the same period.

For the purposes of this program, residential vehicles are defined as any vehicle with a resident disposal permit issued by the Town Clerk carrying less than one ton of debris (including trailers), or for vehicles without a permit, any vehicle with a less than one ton carrying capacity (including trailers).  Commercial vehicles shall be defined as any vehicle with a commercial disposal permit issued by the Town Clerk, or for vehicles without a permit, any vehicle with a carrying capacity of one ton or greater.  

The tip fee waiver/reduction will not apply to stumps of any type, and it applies to the charge for the weight of the debris ONLY, and not to single entry fees for vehicles without permits, which will still be charged as appropriate (i.e., $5 for residential vehicles, $30 for commercial vehicles).

And, after dropping your brush and leaves, why not pick up some compost or mulch from the Compost Facility and provide your plants and soils with the natural nutrition needed for strong spring growth and durable vegetation throughout the summer.  Town residents get 500 lbs per year FREE OF CHARGE!  After that, it is priced as follows:

By weight (compost AND mulch):  1.5¢ lb/$30 ton up to 2000 lbs; 1.25 ¢ lb/$25 ton over 2000 lbs.

By volume (5 cu. Yd. min):

Compost=$15/yd ($13 100 yds or more)

Mulch= $9/yd
